Zaragoza Fiestas del Pilar — October Festival Board

Souvenir cutting board celebrating Zaragoza’s Fiestas del Pilar — a spectacular nine-day festival held every October 12 in honor of the Virgen del Pilar, patron saint of Spain and the Hispanic world. The highlight is the Ofrenda de Flores (Flower Offering), when hundreds of thousands of people in traditional Aragonese costumes bring flowers to build a massive 8-meter floral mantle around the statue of the Virgin. The festival also features giant puppet parades (gigantes y cabezudos), flamenco concerts, and extraordinary fireworks displays over the Ebro River.
