Cuenca Puente de San Pablo — Gorge Bridge Board

Built in the early 20th century to replace a 16th-century stone bridge, this dizzying crossing connects the old town to the Parador hotel (a former Dominican monastery). From the bridge, the view of the Casas Colgadas (Hanging Houses) clinging to the cliff edge is absolutely spine-tingling, especially at sunrise when the first light illuminates the ancient walls. Looking straight down into the gorge from the bridge is not for the faint-hearted.
